Just for Moms

Strollertime MomStrollertime was developed by a mom with young children, and she knows what it takes to be a new mom. This section is for you! Soon we will add live "chats" hosted by fitness experts and seasoned moms so you can ask any pressing questions you may have. We will also be adding, in the near future, community message boards so you can connect with moms around the globe whenever it suits your schedule best. In the meantime, enjoy the articles below and please let us know what your interests are. We look forward to hearing from you!

Tips for Getting Back in Shape After You Have a Baby
1.
It is never selfish to do something for yourself. You will find it easier to meet the challenges of motherhood when you are fit and healthy. When you are happy, the whole family benefits.
2.
Start slowly, and build gradually, especially if you did not exercise during all or part of your pregnancy. You are less likely to continue with a fitness program if you over do it in the beginning.
3.
Drink plenty of water, at least 8 ounces a day, more if you are exercising, and even more if you are nursing. Water is critical to keeping you hydrated during this important time, when your body is still in recovery mode from the hard work of developing (and if you are nursing, sustaining) a baby.
